Chancel Choir

LOVE—

The Chancel Choir shares that message each week with director Scott Lehmkuhl at NUMC's 10:00 am Sunday worship service. Striving to inspire people to love God and one another through music, the choir sings a wide variety of musical styles. Our music library includes choral literature from all periods of music, in addition to arrangements of spirituals, hymns, and contemporary Christian compositions.

LEARN—

This non-auditioned choir welcomes all who love to sing and who will be committed to attending weekly rehearsals and worship. Our choir members enjoy a special fellowship, rehearsing Thursday evenings 7:30-9:30 pm and Sundays before worship 9:00-9:45 am Every effort is made in rehearsals to teach basic elements of musicianship and vocal technique. Our staff of section leaders provides leadership to those who are still mastering the skills of SATB choral singing. New members are always welcome, particularly during January and September. Anyone interested in singing should contact Scott Lehmkuhl.

Members of the Chancel Choir bring comfort and sustenance to the congregation each week as leaders in worship. The Chancel Choir shares the message of God's love in song, and it's a beautiful sound. Yet while the music uplifts and inspires, the Choir reminds us:
